This informational display takes live power generation data from the UK National Grid and displays the information on a touchscreen interface. Power sources, such as nuclear, wind, gas and coal are shown at the top along with the current output from a particular source. Total UK National Demand is shown as a global indicator, and each source contributes to meeting this demand.
These indicator dials also serve as buttons which filter the map below. The map shows all of teh functioning power stations in teh uk and the type of electricity they use. Each station acts as a hotspot which can be clicked to reveal more information.
The interactive serves as a fantastic live view on the UK’s energy needs and how these needs are met from a variety of power generation sources.
The app is deployed on Retina eyepads.
