Disappear Interactive, Southern General Hospital

This magic mirror disappear interactive is housed in the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow’s newest hospital. It is a small part of the superb and innovative vision brought to the space by the team at Glasgow Science Centre and Yorkhill Children’s Charity.

The hospital space is unique in Europe. There is an emphasis on play and distraction for the children visiting.

This Magic Mirror interactive has a dual purpose. One side of the dual screen makes viewers disappear when they stand still, the other side delays playback – hence if you turn around, you can turn back and watch the video image of yourself catch up.
